A handsome hotel converted from the former textile factory in the heart of Brooklyn, New York.
Wood ceiling, concrete floors, pale blue graphical wallpaper, floor-to-ceiling windows, red-brick walls, subway tiles, black and white . . . every single element is simple but profound. Especially I love the mixture of modern and retro-classical feel. The beautiful pictures just look as if they were taken from a movie scene.
- Wythe Hotel is located on the Williamsburg waterfront, Brooklyn.
- The original factory building was built in 1901.
- The building received new life as a hotel in May, 2012.
- While preserving the building's industrial character (restored brick facade, original pine beams, cast-iron columns), the hotel incorporated refreshing designs in collaboration with local design firms and artists.
- Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects
